welcome to my garden

It's a beautiful day today ... just perfect ...  the morning was warm and dry enough for gardening ... then early afternoon was hot enough to appreciate the summer ... late afternoon gave us a heavy rain and thunderstorm forcing me onto the porch with  freshly juiced garden cucumbers, tomatoes, a shallot and herbs ( lemon balm and thyme) and a homemade carrot and zuchinni muffin.  If you haven't tried this fresh juice combination, I hope you will ... it's so good and very healthy.  Anything homemade is good to me :) ... although I wish I had a better carrot and zuchinni muffin/bread recipe.
Wishing you a safe and happy weekend!

  5. Look at your beautiful garden! Here ours has nothing blooming but the beginnings of our morning glories (the ones that the groundhog didn't eat) and a solitary lavendar stem......the rest looks like a jungle. Thank you so much, Susanne, for posting these throughout the year - I so enjoy them! Have you ever made gazpacho? It's really just chunky vegie juice! We thoroughly enjoyed our one batch this year (tomatoes also took a beating from that same groundhog!)

  7. I just love your photos of your beautiful garden, and then to hear you saying you are juicing vegetables and eating lovely carrot & zucchini muffins, it makes me want to be more healthy! My problem is I cannot tolerate anything sour, tart, or just plain not sweet! So the muffin would go down very well, but I am afraid, not the juice!
