This was a perfect weekend ... perfect weather for hiking !

My DH and I went on a beautiful afternoon walk on Saturday and again on Sunday morning.

We ended the walk at the General Store for lunch. I had a bowl of fresh tomato soup, toasted Canadian bacon, tomato and romaine lettuce sandwich with a mug of warm apple cider.

... I love this time of the year.

I'm hoping that you enjoyed your visit in my part of the world.

I took these photographs during an afternoon walk last Sunday. It rained on the way home and I was soak 'n wet ... but I loved every minute of it.  I hope you enjoyed these pictures. I was inspired to take these photos after seeing Franziska's beautiful landscapes here .  I would love to see where you go for walks or a drive.  Sending you warm wishes and I hope you have a safe and happy weekend :)

A quick post just to say hello

welcome to my garden

It's a beautiful day today ... just perfect ...  the morning was warm and dry enough for gardening ... then early afternoon was hot enough to appreciate the summer ... late afternoon gave us a heavy rain and thunderstorm forcing me onto the porch with  freshly juiced garden cucumbers, tomatoes, a shallot and herbs ( lemon balm and thyme) and a homemade carrot and zuchinni muffin.  If you haven't tried this fresh juice combination, I hope you will ... it's so good and very healthy.  Anything homemade is good to me :) ... although I wish I had a better carrot and zuchinni muffin/bread recipe.
