I fell in love with Mary Green's gluebooks earlier this year when I first came across her blog
Green Paper. I was very inspired to try a page myself after seeing her beautiful work and tutorial
at
Gingersnap Creations. My images are from used books I found in the second hand shop ... the rose is from my scrap box ... the rose stamp is from Hero Arts.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Sending you warm wishes.
This turned out beautifully, Susanne! Hope you're doing well! Hugs! :)
ReplyDeleteHello Susanne
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of glue books, so I popped over to Green Paper to have a look, and my she does some lovely work, it is similar to altered books in a way isn't?
You have a more colourful page, your images are lovely and romantic, if this is your first attempt you have done very well.
Smiles:)

ReplyDeleteI think that your glue book will turn out to be a very romantic work of art! Love your first pages Suzanne!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Thanks for sharing! I like your pages a lot - very beautifully done!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Suzanne - there are NO coincidences! You kindly left a lovely comment on my card on Flickr (I have loved your work for ages), and I went to look more closely at yr blog, which took me to the gorgeous pic of the blue jay - then I had to google him 'cos I grew up in England and now live in Australia and have never seen such a lovely bird. Then I noticed your bit about glue books and was intrigued 'cos I've just been invited to be in a book swap with some friends, and that led me to the tutorial by Mary. I've been looking for ideas and this is brilliant, so all round you have helped me heaps - THANK YOU so much - blessings xxx
ReplyDeleteOh the internet is amazing.
