Papillon

.. a little poem from William Wordsworth

Oh! pleasant, pleasant were the days,
The time, when in our childish plays
My sister Emmeline and I
Together chaced the Butterfly!
A very hunter did I rush
Upon the prey:—with leaps and springs
I follow'd on from brake to bush;
But She, God love her! feared to brush
The dust from off its wings.

The butterfly and old letter writing in the background are from Hero Arts.  The flower in the cloche is from a very old garden journal that I found in a second hand shop.

Enjoy your weekend and keep safe.

  4. A beautiful post Susanne! Just catching up on your art and enjoying the view. I'll bet you are like me waiting for the cool autumn days to come sooner rather than later after our summer's heat.
