a little blessing

This morning, while making my coffee, I glanced out the kitchen window and saw the bird feeders covered in snow ... again. So I shut off the kettle and painfully put my boots on. Painful because I broke my toe last week. I filled my plastic bowl with bird feed and went out the door. It wasn't a second that went by when several chickadees filled the nearby tree and started to chirp and sing. One of these precious little birds instantly flew toward me and softly landed in my bowl of bird feed that was still in my hands. I just looked at it and thought, what a little blessing this is.

  5. What a special blessing your received Susanne! I just ordered a Chickadee bird-stamp because I was looking for one on a branch and Hero Arts don't have those... having said that - you used the bird beautifully on this card, it is gorgeous - especially the Spring colors.
Hope your toe mends quickly too!!

  10. I love that you went outside in your pain and discomfort to feed the little birds....I do that too...only I am usually throwing a coat over my nightgown and boots to feel up the feeders. Your card, as all of yours are, is simply lovely.
