my heart journal ~ for September and October

Heart Journal 2012

..for September heart challenge we were to create a heart of newsprint that was 'all cottony'  .. light and fluffy ..   I covered my cottony heart with a piece of  very old paper , precious to me ... which is the reason I used it for my heart.
..for October heart challenge we were to achieve a wax finish ..I used liquid pearls, Golden Interference Orange and black shoe polish to buff, my heart has the appearance of pewter
Every month I am inspired to learn something new .. so much thanks to Thealie and Lilibulle for these wonderful challenges! Although I am posting late, I have taken my time to enjoy the process of creating these hearts.

I love October .. it's my favourite time of the year .. Autumn.  I even love the Autumn rain.   I really enjoyed making this paper collage.  The rose stamp is from Hero Arts two birds and a rose.  Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving.

Victorian Collage

Although I haven't been posting, I have been enjoying visiting blogs .. not really enough time to leave many comments though. I created this collage using rubber stamps for a charity event at work. The Victorian ladies are from Free Vintage Images and the red flower is from Little Birdie Blessings .

my Heart Journal ... for July and August

For July we were to create a heart using transparancies. For August we were to create a minimalist landscape background.  So lovely to see my landscape through my transparent heart.

My favourite butterfly (from Hero Arts), pattern and embossed paper were used to make my third papillon collage. The flower is one of many I've been using from the garden journal I found in a second had shop.
