Case Study Challenge #27 and Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC69

This is the card that is the inspiration for the Case Study Challenge #27 and the Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC69.

This card was made for the Playdate Cafe Challenge PDCC69. The colour challenge this week is red, green and black. The butterfly image is from Graphic Fairy. I used Ranger black soot Distress Ink on white card stock that was embossed with a paisley pattern. The background black lace is patterned paper. Cream lace with white pearls was placed across the bottom of the card.  I only added one red pearl and several small green gems as I wanted my red pearl to be the star.

This card was made for the Case Study Challenge #27 using red, green and black. I loved the flowing design of this case study and tried to keep natural elements of the flower and butterfly. I also tried to make the colours red and green shine by only using a few coloured gems. The butterfly image on this card is also from Graphic Fairy.  The background is patterned paper lightly stamped with Hero Arts Swirl with Flowers stamp,  distressed with Ranger black soot Distress Ink and sprinkled with a few crystal gems. White card stock was embossed with a dot pattern, coloured with black soot Distress Ink and an oval shape removed to display the butterflies.  Four black pearls, two red pearls and one green gem were used on this card.  A soft white flower with a large crystal gem and Hero Arts Happy Birthday sentiment were added .

  1. Beautiful cards. I like the way the colours are there, but don't drown out the subtlety of the images. :)
